Our Pollution Health Check Package is meticulously crafted to assess the impact of pollution on your health. In today's world, harmful air pollutants saturate the atmosphere, posing a significant threat to human health. Prolonged exposure to these pollutants can lead to various complications, such as asthma and other respiratory diseases. The organs of the human body bear the brunt of consistent exposure to air containing harmful substances.

Metropolis' Pollution Health Check Package

Our comprehensive Pollution Health Check Panel includes vital markers such as HsCRP, Creatinine, SGPT ALT, ESR, CBC Haemogram, CEA, LDH, and Allergy Screening IgE with Phadiatop, providing you with a thorough understanding of your body's response to environmental challenges.

Key Tests and Their Significance:

  1. HsCRP (High-sensitivity C-reactive Protein): Elevated levels are associated with an increased risk of heart attacks.
  2. Creatinine: Long-term exposure to toxic pollutants can worsen kidney function, leading to chronic kidney diseases.
  3. SGPT ALT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase Alanine Transaminase): Air pollution can impact liver health and contribute to liver fibrosis.
  4. ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate): A marker for inflammation, ESR helps gauge the impact of pollution on the body's inflammatory response.
  5. CBC Haemogram (Complete Blood Count Haemogram): Helps understand changes in your blood composition due to environmental factors.
  6. CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen): Abnormal levels may indicate a potential sign of cancer. Helps early detection and monitoring of cancer risk in the context of pollution exposure.
  7. LDH (Lactate Dehydrogenase): Elevated levels may signal organ or tissue damage caused by environmental stressors.
  8. Allergy Screening IgE With Phadiatop: Assess your body's immune response to allergens in the environment, offering insights into potential allergic reactions exacerbated by pollution.

What is Air Quality Index (AQI)

The Air Quality Index (AQI) serves as a vital yardstick, ranging from 0 to 500. This index quantifies the level of air pollution, with higher AQI values indicating elevated pollution levels and increased health concerns. Understanding your local AQI is crucial in safeguarding your health against the adverse effects of air pollution.

Sources of Air Pollution:

  • Industrial Emissions: Factories and industrial activities release pollutants into the air.
  • Vehicle Exhaust: Combustion engines emit pollutants that contribute to air pollution.
  • Construction Activities: Dust and particulate matter from construction sites can degrade air quality.
  • Burning of Fossil Fuels: The combustion of fossil fuels releases harmful gases into the atmosphere.

Effects of Air Pollution on Health:

The repercussions of air pollution on health are multifaceted. Long-term exposure can lead to:

  • Lung Issues: Such as asthma, bronchitis, and other respiratory diseases.
  • Worsening Asthma: Exacerbation of asthma symptoms, leading to increased frequency and severity of attacks.
  • Heart Issues: Increased risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular complications.
  • Compromised Immune System: Weakening the body's ability to fight infections and illnesses.
  • Eye, Nose and Throat Irritation: Irritation and discomfort in the eyes, nose, and throat due to exposure to pollutants.
  • Headache, Cough, Dizziness, Constant Fatigue: Common symptoms associated with exposure to polluted air, affecting overall well-being.
