Dr. Pranav Desai

Desai Clinical Laboratory was the first Pathology Lab in the city of Surat, started by the visionary Dr Pradeep K Desai. Today, the unit has grown manifold under the able leadership of Dr. Pranav Desai.

Desai Metropolis associated with Metropolis in the year 2008.The association of Desai Laboratory and Metropolis has been a success story in which both setups have complimented each other. After joining the Metropolis Group, several changes like the modernization of the IT infrastructure, addition of new equipment and expansion of the geographical outreach have taken Desai Metropolis to even greater heights.

After joining hands with Metropolis, Desai Metropolis has achieved NABL accreditation consistently. Several more tests have been added to the menu along with complete updation of the Laboratory MIS system. The laboratory caters to all tests under the Metropolis menu including Histopathology, Hematology, Immunochemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology and receives the highest number of Histopathology Specimens in South Gujarat region. It has expanded its reach in the form of 9 collection centers throughout Surat city.

In the future, the lab has a vision of expanding its services to cover the entire population of South Gujarat by opening more collection centers and laboratories. There is also an attempt to widen the menu of tests processed by starting Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Gene expert for TB. Today the Desai Metropolis has nine collection centers in Surat
